Body modifications

I've always been a big fan of body modifications such as piercings, tattoos, scarifications, stretching, etc, so I decided to create a small section where I could put pics of my own body mods. I hope you like them!

Labret. March 2005.

I LOVE lip rings and labrets. This was my VERY first piercing, besides some I already had in my ears. I thought a tiny metal piece would look great on me, and it does, indeed {at least I think so =)}. It wasn't painful at all, and the piercer was so nice! I must admit that I was a bit nervous at first, but then I got super relaxed and had fun. My mum was there with me and she got dizzy xD. My lip was so freacking swollen for a few days, but then it healed so fast and looked great. Sometimes I wear a black dice instead of the standard metal ball. {Update: I'm not wearing a labret anymore!}

Belly button. September 2005.

Oops! Sorry for the boobs, lmao. I need to take some close-ups of this one. I love my belly button, it looks so cute. I don't know when I decided to get this piercing done, but I HAD to do it. The piercer was the same guy, but this time he flirted with me xD. Again, it wasn't a painful experience, but it was weird. I could feel the needle going through my skin, and I must admit I really liked that feeling. The healing proccess was fine, and now my belly looks awesome when I wear short tops ^^

1st tattoo. April 2007.

This pic was taken a few hours after I got the tattoo, that's why it looks so red. Oh, God. This one was special. My tattooer was so kind and polite and sweet...I should have married him, lol. He told me to apply an anesthetic cream where I was getting the tattoo. Two hours later, I went to the studio, the room was ready for me to start. I was lying on the litter, he asked me if I was ready and he started. I could barely feel the needle, but after a few minutes, it started hurting.It was like a burning sensation, but it wasn't nasty or bothering. Somehow I like pain. Once he had finished my tattoo, he gaveme all the aftercare instructions and I got some clening products. The healing was so fast, I didn't have problems at all. By the way, this tattoo is placed on my hip bone. Look at the picture above, you can see a bit of it =). "Terra-caelum" means "Earth-Heaven" in Latin. I decided those words had to be in Latin, as I'm an ancient cultures lover and I've also studied Latin.It reminds me that I belong to Earth right now, but I'll be in heaven soon.

2ns & 2rd tattoo. September 2007.

Julio, the guy who made my first tattoo, also made these little stars. Aren't they adorable? They DID hurt,well, it wasn't an unbearable pain, but it was worse than the first time. But of course it was worth it: they are awesome! My little stars keep me close to those who're not in this world anymore, like my grandpa.
